How to Store Honey by Glass Bottle!
Honey is made from plant nectar collected and brewed repeatedly by bees. It is weakly acidic. When touched with metals, it is easy to cause oxidation reaction and separate out metal ions such as iron, lead and zinc, so that the honey changes color and turns black, and its nutritional value will also be destroyed. Some people will have nausea, vomiting and other poisoning symptoms after eating this honey. Therefore, metal containers should not be used to store honey, but non-metallic containers, such as ceramics, glass bottles, non-toxic plastic barrels should be used to store honey.
The main characteristics of glass packaging containers are hygiene, corrosion resistance, good barrier, high temperature sterilization and low temperature storage. In addition, it has the advantages of low price and multiple use.
When storing honey in glass bottles, they should be cleaned, wiped dry and sealed, because honey has strong water absorption and will absorb a large amount of water in the air, resulting in fermentation and deterioration. Then put it in a cool, dry, clean, ventilated environment with a temperature of 5 ~ 10 ℃ and an air humidity of no more than 75%.
