HOW TO GET A TOP QUALITY MOULD FOR GLASS BOTTLE?
Glass bottle is a common package container in our country, and it is also a kind of packing material for a very long history. With many package container pouring into the market, glass still occupy an important position, due to its characteristics that others cannot replace it.
As the increasing demand for personalized package, the development of glass mold to produce customization glass bottles has been developed more and more. So today we will discuss the knowledge of glass bottle mould.
The mold for glass bottle production is generally divided into seven parts. The period of manufacturing cycle for a set molds is about 10 to 20 days.
The seven parts of the glass bottle mold are as below:
1.The first one is the model which is a initial shape of the glass bottle to be produced.
2.The second is the mold to shape the glass jar.
3.The third is the funnel which is for processing before the glass liquid falling from the automatic dispenser into the preliminary mold.
4.The fourth is the bulkhead. It is an accessory that cooperates with the preliminary mold to complete the preliminary processing after the glass solution falling into the preliminary mold.
5.The fifth is the mouth mold which is the mold for the bottle mouth. It is used for moving from the initial mold to the finished mold after the initial shaping.
6.The sixth is the air pump. It is a tool for setting the glass solution under strong pressure through an air compressor after the glass product is initially formed and moved to the mold.
7.The seventh is the punch and the core. The punch is the mold for the bottle-shaped bottle mouth of the beaker. The size of the punch affects the inner diameter of the bottle mouth. The core is a tool that affects the size of the inner diameter of the small mouth bottle.
The quality of mold directly determines whether high-quality products can be got. Therefore, in order to develop good mold, generally the following things need to be paid attention to when opening a glass bottle:
1.Environmental conditions.
1.1 Temperature: The temperature of the same environment must be maintained during the whole process of manufacturing the male mold and the female mold of the glass bottle mold.
1.2 Humidity: Humidity has a relatively large impact on gel coat and resin curing. The ideal humidity range is generally 40-60. If the relative humidity exceeds 65 when manufacturing glass bottle molds, you need to wait for proper production. Conditions should be carried out before construction, especially in the south or coastal areas, where the humidity is relatively high and requires careful selection.
2. Clean workshop.
It is impossible to produce high-quality glass bottle molds in a relatively dirty environment. The position where the male and female molds are manufactured should be highly cleaned and have a higher maintenance and management standard than the product production position. Therefore the mold manufacturing at the beginning, the cleaning and dust removal work for mold manufacturing needs to be done well in advance.
3.Clean compressed air.
A pure and dry air source is the main factor in the manufacture of glass bottle molds. Adding a small amount of oil or water in the air duct will cause a lot of pitting and pinholes on the surface of the mold gel coat. A lot of labor is needed to repair, so the quality of the mold will be greatly affected.
4.The choice of raw materials.
When select raw materials, this is an important condition for making good molds. Because the cost of raw materials for making molds only occupies a small percentage of the overall cost, and cannot save the use of product resins or expired raw materials and poor quality.
5.Have a reasonable molding time.
Arranging a more reasonable mold-making schedule is one of the main factors to make a good glass bottle mold. Regardless of whether you use the traditional layup method or choose a new low-shrinkage system, the time required is determined by the chemical characteristics of these raw materials, and a reasonable molding time can ensure that it will not have an adverse effect on the mold.
